Indoor Meetings

The Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club was founded in 1958 and membership is open to all with a beneficial interest in ornithology. The recording area for the club comprises Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne.

As a registered charity the club produces the annual report for the area ‘Birds in Northumbria’ and holds regular indoor meetings and field trips in support of its aims.

The Club’s Aims Are:

To advance the education of the general public in the knowledge and understanding of ornithology to promote research in ornithology and in any particular aspects thereof as may from to time be approved by the committee and publish the useful results of such research.

To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment, in order to promote the welfare and diversity of the local bird population.

AGM 2024

The 2024 N&TBC Annual General Meeting will take place at 7-15 pm Thursday 10th October 2024 in the Northern Rugby Club, McCracken Park, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 2DT (to be confirmed).
