Indoor Meetings<\/h4>\n

Our Indoor Meetings program commences on the 10th September 2026 at the usual venue.

The Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club<\/strong>\u00a0was founded in 1958 and membership is open to all with a beneficial interest in ornithology. The recording area for the club comprises Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As a registered charity the club produces the annual report for the area \u2018Birds in Northumbria\u2019 and holds regular indoor meetings and field trips in support of its aims.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Club\u2019s Aims Are:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To advance the education of the general public in the knowledge and understanding of ornithology to promote research in ornithology and in any particular aspects thereof as may from to time be approved by the committee and publish the useful results of such research.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment, in order to promote the welfare and diversity of the local bird population.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The 2026 N&TBC Annual General Meeting will take place at 7-15 pm Thursday 8th October 2026 in the Northern Rugby Club, McCracken Park, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 2DT. Nominations for candidates for the NTBC Committee must be received by the Honorary Secretary no later than the 17th Sept 2026, and must be proposed and seconded by current club members.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
