Having spent yesterday evening wandering around Druridge Bay in vain I was very pleased to finally photograph a summer adult at last.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Black-Tern-3-Tim-Dean-Newton-Scrape-July-17-sightings.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11296 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Black-Tern-3-Tim-Dean-Newton-Scrape-July-17-sightings.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Black-Tern-3-Tim-Dean-Newton-Scrape-July-17-sightings.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Black-Tern-3-Tim-Dean-Newton-Scrape-July-17-sightings-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Black-Tern-3-Tim-Dean-Newton-Scrape-July-17-sightings-533x400.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Amazingly a different bird as eagle eyed Gary Woodburn noticed the whiter face on the Newton bird as opposed to the more pristine Druridge one. All photos heavily cropped due to distance but a stunning bird all the same. Also had the drake <strong>Scaup<\/strong> in Budle Bay that has been around for a while &amp; a Whimbrel at Fenham le Moor. Managed to miss the Osprey that was seen at fenham le Moor this morning. A <strong>Hobby<\/strong> at Corby Crags between Alnwick &amp; Rothbury was galling as only silhouette views from car and by time I had managed to pull in I only got a few seconds with bins.
