We didn\u2019t\u2019 come across any Romans, however we were lucky to experience excellent views of a <strong>Raven<\/strong>, which initially arrived at a some distance, eventually landing close to the water. \u00a0It only stayed for 15 mins and then continued on its journey.\u00a0 There were lots of Rooks and Carrion Crows also in the area.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Grindon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1876 aligncenter\" alt=\"Grindon\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Grindon.jpg\" width=\"596\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Grindon.jpg 596w, https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Grindon-300x69.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>We also observed 2 Buzzards, and a family of Red legged Partridge which were busy marching across road as we were parking up.<\/p>\n<p>Paul &amp; Adriana Buskin<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On a visit to the Roman Fort at Housesteads, we stopped off at Grindon Lough for lunch.
