{"id":2278,"date":"2013-09-21T15:14:51","date_gmt":"2013-09-21T15:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/?p=2278"},"modified":"2013-11-01T20:22:48","modified_gmt":"2013-11-01T20:22:48","slug":"st-marys-saturday-21st-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/?p=2278","title":{"rendered":"St Mary&#8217;s &#8211; 21st September 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just as we thought the hot weather had gone, and we were all starting to wrap up warmer, this weekend it returned.\u00a0\u00a0 A drive down to St Mary\u2019s proved very popular this Saturday.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/St-Marys-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2285\" alt=\"St-Marys-2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/St-Marys-2.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/St-Marys-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/St-Marys-2-300x120.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>There were lots of bird watchers around today as amongst the large flocks of Golden Plover there was a visiting <strong>American Golden Plover<\/strong>.\u00a0 In the morning this was on the rocks to the right of the island, however as the rocks become more popular with families looking for crabs etc.\u00a0 The Plovers split into 3 or 4 smaller groups.\u00a0 The <strong>American Golden Plover<\/strong> could still be seen early afternoon however at the front of a much smaller group on the rocks to the left of the island.<\/p>\n<p>There was no sign of any warblers and the willows were very quiet, but they are always worth a good look as they prove very popular with autumn migrants.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Buskin<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just as we thought the hot weather had gone, and we were all starting to wrap up warmer, this weekend it returned.\u00a0\u00a0 A drive down to St Mary\u2019s proved very popular this Saturday.
