{"id":7029,"date":"2016-02-13T23:21:28","date_gmt":"2016-02-13T23:21:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/?p=7029"},"modified":"2016-02-13T23:57:01","modified_gmt":"2016-02-13T23:57:01","slug":"strong-storms-continue-to-visit-our-region-13th-feb-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ntbc.org.uk\/?p=7029","title":{"rendered":"Strong storms continue to visit our region &#8211; 13th Feb 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The weather this year continues to bring storms, which have already left their mark on our region.\u00a0 Many important nature reserves have been affected, including Big Waters, Gosforth Park, Prestwick Carr and Swallow Pond; all have suffered flooding.\u00a0One of our counties most affected sites, Allen Banks, has been forced to close.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Trust \u2013 Allen Banks and Staward Gorge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em>\u201cOver the last month severe weather has devastated Allen Banks and Staward Gorge resulting in many destabilising landslips, the uprooting of large trees, erosion to the river bank and the much loved wobbly bridge being washed away.\u00a0 Over the coming weeks our ranger teams will be monitoring the damage and we\u2019ll keep you updated as we have more news.
