Superb find by Steve Rippon who followed up his\u00a0<strong>Franklin&#8217;s Gull<\/strong> at Whittle Dene Reservoir ! Showed really well on hide tide mark of\u00a0Sandham Bay near Emmanuel Head. Normally very secretive and a delight to see in\u00a0open. European tick for me as only previously seen in Turkey. Well pleased though\u00a0took 75 minutes for bird to show &amp; a dash off island so no time for the <strong>Red-breasted\u00a0Flycatcher<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Yellow-browed Warbler<\/strong> at Half Moon Slack near Snook. <strong>Greenish Warbler<\/strong>\u00a0of yesterday has departed and very few migrants on island , only 1 Wheatear &amp; a\u00a0Willow Warbler. Popped in to Newton on way home &amp; a seawatch had one <strong>Sooty\u00a0Shearwater<\/strong> though missed the <strong>Long-tailed Skua<\/strong> which moved through Tynemouth at 2:50. \u00a0Had look at Newton scrape which had single <strong>Little Stint<\/strong>, Ruff &amp; Black-tailed Godwit\u00a0plus female Pintail.
