Cramp et al. Handbook of the Birds of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Vols 1-5 (out of 7). RSPB/O.U.P., 1977-88.
I’ve recently bought a large collection, and need to make some space! The cheapest equivalent copies I can find online for these vols range from £15 – £30 each. These 5 can be yours for £60, of which I will donate £10 to Club. They are all in VG condition, just a little sunned to spines, and 2 of them have neatly-repaired 1cm closed tears to head of spine (N.B. Never pull a heavy book off the shelf like that!)
Brown, Urban & Newman. Birds of Africa, Vols. 1-3 (of 7). Academic Press, 1982-88.
VG+ condition, with sunning to spines of V.2 and 3. Cheapest I can find £27 – £42 each. I can do £75, again with £10 going to Club. I can deliver to N. Tyneside/ Ncle, or rendezvous with anyone further afield.

Green cloth with gilt lettering is undamaged. Bindings are tight and upright. Light foxing to fore-edges. Internally immaculate, with the plates in excellent condition. Bookplates from Lord Barber of Tewkesbury to ffeps.

BOOKS AND COFFEE INVITATION TO CLUB MEMBERS.
Alan Macfarlane has recently acquired two sizeable bird book collections. In the absence of two of his usual outlets at Club meetings and Tynemouth Station Book Fair, he is running out of storage space. Anyone who is missing the chance to snap up a bargain, or just feels their pockets are getting too heavy, is welcome to view the books (and have a coffee and chat) at Alan’s home in Monkseaton. Masks, sanitiser and ventilation will be in use, but you can have the book room to yourself. Both the Macs are double-jabbed. Call or text Alan on 07926369140 if interested. Absolutely no obligation to buy. As usual, 10% goes to Club funds.
