Up to Stag Rocks today looking for the Grey Phalarope without success again. At least I met several other people who had also managed multiple attempts without connecting. Seen yesterday though. A surprise was an adult Little Gull which slowly moved south along the tideline. Few other highlights here with the vast scoter flock of 1000+ a long way out. A feeding Kittiwake flock was unusual with 30-40 present though most some way out. On to Budle Bay and a fine Peregrine perched on a stump out in the bay. Finally Fenham le Moor but very low tide meant few birds close though a few Grey Plover were visible. TRD/JD
